October CPO output rises 3.14pc |

KUALA LUMPUR: Malaysia's crude palm oil (CPO) production in October increased 3.14 per cent to 1.97 million tonnes from 1.12 million tonnes registered in September, the Malaysian Palm Oil Board (MPOB) announced today.
Production of crude palm kernel oil rose 2.65 per cent to 230,799 tonnes last month from 224,846 tonnes recorded previously. CPO stocks rose 7.42 per cent to 1.03 million tonnes at end-October from 996,253 tonnes recorded at end-September, MPOB said in a statement. Processed palm oil stocks in October declined 1.22 per cent to 807,337 tonnes while that of crude palm kernel oil stock dipped 11.15 per cent to 124,455 tonnes Malaysia exported 1,659,105 tonnes of palm oil in October, up 3.33 per cent from September while that of palm kernel oil increased 43.49 per cent to 104,833 tonnes. Imports of processed palm oil in October dropped 5.12 per cent to 18,487 tonnes from 19,483 tonnes registered in September. -- Bernama |
